Beauty Review: Deep Sea Cosmetics’ Nail Kit
I've never been good at painting my nails. When my nails are painted, it's just a matter of time before they're chipped, peeling, and looking eight kinds of sad. I found the answer to all my mani-pedi prayers in the most unexpected place--a random mall kiosk. What is this magic of which I speak? Let me tell y'all about my new beauty addiction.
I was in Birmingham last week and had some time to kill in between two doctor's appointments. I ended up wandering around Colonial Brookwood Village. I went in a few stores but couldn't convince myself to buy anything.
As I made my way to Bath & Body Works, a man working at a random kiosk told me he liked my nails. My nails weren't painted, so I was like, "whuuuut?" The gentleman said that my natural nails were beautiful and then launched into a spiel for his company, Deep Sea Cosmetics.
I was skeptical and mildly annoyed with his sales pitch, but I had nothing else to do; I agreed to let him demonstrate a few products on me. He used a special nail buffer to bring out the shine in my nails and then applied a cuticle oil to moisturize. He showed me the results, and I was immediately hooked. My nails were super-shiny. It looked as if I had just stepped out of the nail salon.
I purchased the Platinum Nail Kit and have been using it every day since then. I never really "treat myself" often, so this was a much-needed splurge. I love that filing and buffing my nails yields amazing results for minimal input. I'm a super-busy mom, and anything that can save precious, precious time gets an A+ in my book.
I'd never heard of the company or their products before stopping by the kiosk at Brookwood mall. I paid a fairly decent price for the kit, but it's worth every penny. I plan on buying kits for all the women in my life for Christmas. I'm hooked!
