Flashback Friday: Beastie Boys ‘(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right To Party’

It's not just an ordinary weekend in Tuscaloosa, it's Alabama-LSU weekend! This B101.7 Flashback Friday spotlight is on a song to match the excitement around town with the Beastie Boys anthem, '(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right To Party!'

The largest crowd of the season is expect this weekend as thousands of fans embark on T-Town for the game and to PARTY! The Beastie Boys song is that anthem to get you fired up and yelling 'ROLL TIDE!'

The song was pumping loud out of those big boom boxes as it peaked in the Top 10 on the Billboard chart in 1987. The same year that Red Bull was introduced, 'Fatal Attraction' freaked people out at the theaters and the dog Spuds MacKenzie became a star thanks to a series of Bud Light commercials.
