Why Is This So Funny To Me?

A co-worker shared a silly meme featuring a dog talking on the phone. This photo instantly owned me. I laughed and posted to my Facebook page.

When I posted the photo I added the caption, 'for some reason this is so funny to me.' Then, a friend from high school responds, 'maybe because it reminds you of something.' It hit me, yes! It reminds me of girl I dated back in high school. Nah, she wasn't a dog (looking). Rather, there was a point where I wasn't really interested in dating her anymore and this girl would call and talk, talk, talk on the phone about anything and everything.

One night she called while my friend John was over at the house (the friend who posted the comment on Facebook today). I thought, I'll make this quick. Nope, no such luck. She talked and talked. Blah, blah, blah. I just got to the point where I couldn't take it anymore and I turned the phone over to my black dog Lucky (back to the picture and why it is so funny to me).

Lucky began panting and sniffing. I think she even licked the phone. Then we proceeded to try and get her to bark or make other random noises. We even used her paw to scratch some kind of doggie morse code over the phone.

The girlfriend was amused at first and then it did get her off the phone. Success!
