What’s the Real Meaning of this Auburn Cup?

Iron Bowl Saturday has arrived in Tuscaloosa! One the biggest rivalries known to sports is everything in our state and we're only hours away from kickoff!

Regardless of either team's record, each brings all that they have to this showdown. The 2014 installment of the Alabama-Auburn football game will be no different. There is so much riding on it, as #1 Alabama is playing for a spot in the SEC Championship and to keep hopes alive to win 16th National Championship. You know #15 ranked Auburn would love nothing else than to play spoiler.

In our state, you pick a side and you're vocal about it. That's where our cleaning lady at the radio station comes in. I noticed the other day that she left behind her toilet cleaning brush. The thing about this brush it sat comfortably inside an Auburn cup. At first, I laughed at my perceived symbolism that Auburn is crap, they stink. Then, I stopped myself and questioned, maybe this lady loves the Tigers and has found a way to repurpose the cup?
