West Alabama Christmas Parade Postponed Until Thursday, December 8, 2016
Heavy rain and the chance of storms have forced the Tuscaloosa County Parks and Recreation Authority to postpone tonight's West Alabama Christmas Parade.
The parade, which was scheduled to take place tonight, has been postponed until Thursday night. The parade is still set to begin at 6:30 p.m. and will follow its traditional downtown route.
Tonight's Grand Marshall reception will be held today as scheduled; however, the Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony scheduled for tonight outside of the Tuscaloosa County Courthouse has been cancelled and will not be rescheduled.
