Taylor Swift Wears Super-Short Onesie on 2014 MTV VMAs Red Carpet [PHOTOS]

We're going to credit 'Shake It Off' for emboldening Taylor Swift to wear an itsy-bitsy blue romper to the 2014 MTV VMAs red carpet.

While we're usually all for Taylor's fashion choice, we're feeling like this one kind of missed the mark. It's definitely a daring look for the singer (she's even showing a little butt cheek!) and this is the red carpet to take risks ... but we're a little confused at what she was going for.

Her long legs look fantastic, but the sleeves with the short-shorts with the off-color peep-toe booties is a lot of look, and not a cohesive one at that. However, one silver lining is Taylor's top-notch waves and ah-mazing blue eyeliner. Oh, and her signature red lip, of course.
