Suspect in Skyland Blvd. Convenience Store Shooting in Custody

A suspect is now in custody in connection with an attempted robbery and shooting at a gas station on Skyland Blvd. in Tuscaloosa.

According to authorities, 19-year old Deric Richey has been arrested and charged with attempted murder, first-degree robbery and shooting into an occupied vehicle. He is currently being held in the Tuscaloosa County Jail on a $90,000 bond.

On April 6th, investigators report that Richey shot and wounded a 19-year-old while the victim was getting gas at the Kangaroo on Skyland.
