There has been increase of fake money being reported over the past few weeks in Northport, according to a police spokesperson.

However, there has been a recent arrest as reported by Tuscaloosa News:

Last week, investigators charged a woman who they say used 12 counterfeit bills at a business on McFarland Boulevard. The business staff reported that she used the bills on June 11. Officers developed Shannon Rittenhouse as a suspect and arrested her at her job on June 13.

Sure, the counterfeit money can be made to trick others, as it can look so real. Unlike, Monopoly money. You may say, duh! Well, people have tried to use Monopoly money as the real thing before. Sure, mostly in pranks.

Check out these girls rolling up to the drive-thru window, as they attempt to pay with the board game money.

Comedy legend Bill Cosby knows a thing or two about Monopoly money. The funny man used the fake bills to teach a money management lesson to his TV son. Yeah, it's a great scene from The Cosby Show. Watch it below.
