No More Twinkies: Hostess to Liquidate
Hostess Cakes Company, manufacturer of such awesomeness as Twinkies, HoHos, and SnoBalls, is calling it quits. The Mayans were right; the world will end in 2012.
Hostess Brands is liquidating its assets and filed a motion in US Bankruptcy court following a strike from workers that shut down production and delivery at many of its facilities.
This is terrible news.
What now? I suggest we all call in sick to work today so that we can head to the store and buy so many Twinkies and CupCakes our pantries look like a cutaway from A&E's Hoarders. Or check out Ebay, where boxes of Twinkies are already selling for over $20 each!
