Pedestrian, 71, Critically Injured After Being Struck in Tuscaloosa Tuesday Night
A 71-year-old pedestrian was critically hurt when he was struck by a vehicle in Tuscaloosa on Tuesday night.
Stephanie Taylor, a spokeswoman for the Tuscaloosa Police Department, said the collision happened at about 10:15 p.m. in the intersection of Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and 15th Street.

Tuscaloosa police officers and firefighters were called to the scene and reportedly found the victim suffering from injuries that Taylor called life-threatening.
She said he was taken to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment and that she did not have an update on his condition on Wednesday morning.
Taylor said members of TPD's traffic homicide unit responded and are investigating the circumstances of the accident.
They handle most accidents with serious injuries or fatalities in the Tuscaloosa City limits, and they're involvement in the case does not necessarily indicate suspicion of criminal activity or that charges are expected.
