Briana Houston Named Vice President of Marketing at DCH Health System
Briana Houston is now vice president of marketing and communications at DCH Health System, moving up from the interim role she has held since late May.
Houston came to DCH in September 2024 as director of business outreach, building relationships with providers and community partners and supporting growth across the system's outpatient services and physician practices. She has more than a decade of experience in marketing, business development and strategic growth, most of it in health care.
In the new job she oversees DCH's marketing and communications strategy, including media relations, internal and external communications, digital and social media, brand management and community engagement.
Connecting the Community
"For me, this role is about strengthening the connection between DCH and the communities we are privileged to serve," Houston said. "West Alabama is my home, and I care deeply about the people and organizations that make this community special. There is tremendous work happening across DCH to improve the experience of our patients, caregivers, and community, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to help tell those stories while also creating more opportunities for DCH to listen, engage, and build trust with the people we serve."

DCH Chief Operating Officer Mallary Myers said Houston earned the job in the interim role.
"Briana brings a unique combination of strategic marketing experience, healthcare knowledge, and a genuine connection to the community we serve," Myers said. "During her time at DCH, and especially while serving in the interim role, she has demonstrated strong leadership and an ability to bring people together around our mission. She understands that how we communicate with our patients, caregivers, and community is an important part of building trust in DCH, and we are excited to have her continue leading this work."
Service Beyond the System
Houston chaired the board of Easterseals West Alabama from 2022 to 2024 and now serves as president of the United Way of West Alabama Young Leaders Society and on that organization's board of directors. She is a Leadership Tuscaloosa graduate and won a West Alabama Young Leaders Award in 2023.
She holds a bachelor's degree in business administration with a focus in marketing and business analytics and an MBA, both from Auburn University.
DCH Health System operates DCH Regional Medical Center, Northport Medical Center and Fayette Medical Center.
