Alabama House Approves Decriminalization of Cannabis Component

Looks like Alabama lawmakers are seeing the benefits of marijuana components.
The Alabama House of Representatives has voted 103-0 to decriminalize cannabidiol, a non-high inducing marijuana oil, which some families want to try as a treatment for debilitating epileptic seizures.
The bill now goes to the Alabama Senate for consideration.
While this does not decriminalize recreational use of marijuana, seeing the health benefits of the oil could aid in making the herb's medicinal use more widespread, important since some researchers say its effects are helpful in the fight against cancers.
