5 Officers Killed by Snipers During Police Violence Protest
A Dallas protest against police brutality turned deadly when snipers killed five officers on Thursday night.
One of the suspects in the shootings has been killed. Eleven officers were shot in total. The police were on hand for a protest objecting to the recent high-profile fatal police shootings of Alton Sterling in Louisiana, and Philando Castile in Minnesota.
Some of the shooting was captured on video and posted to social media.
President Obama reacted to the shootings. "There is no possible justification for these kinds of attacks or any violence against law enforcement," the president said. "Anyone involved in the senseless murders will be held fully accountable. Justice will be done."
