10 Things B101.7 is Thankful For
This Thanksgiving we here at B101.7 are so very thankful for so many things. We wouldn’t be much of anything without you and the support you give us. We love being a part of Tuscaloosa, Alabama! We're blessed for the opportunity to play your favorite hit songs and be able share the latest gossip and music news. It's more than that. We get to share our lives with you! We love that and what we do. Your loyalty is humbling and it says we don't suck that bad.
In no particular order, here now is a list of 10 things B101.7 is thankful for:
-Kidd Kraddick: This past year we lost a radio innovator and a really nice guy. Kidd was a tremendous entertainer and a truly caring person. We look back and laugh at all the bits and continue to have tears of joy for Kidd’s Kids.
-Kidd’s Kids: The very beloved charity Kidd Kraddick spent his final weekend hours working for. This amazing cause helps to send terminally or chronically ill children with various disabilities on a 5 day getaway to Walt Disney World with their families. It wouldn’t happen without listener support. Thanks to everyone who cares as much about keeping this cause alive like we do.
-Title Town: How amazing is it to live in a thriving sports town like Tuscaloosa with the dominance of University of Alabama athletics! We’re the envy of not only the Southeastern Conference, but the nation. Roll Tide!
-T-Town FOOD: There are so many amazing places to eat around Tuscaloosa. A lot of those great places are local and friends and family from far away can’t wait to visit for BBQ from BBQ Dreamland or maybe a steak from Nick’s, to a burger from Rama Jama’s, wings at Buffalo Phil’s and breakfast at The Waysider. There are so many more. Feel free to add your favorites below.
-Streaming: It’s so awesome to finally provide streaming. Plus, we have a cool app called RadioPup. Try it out, if you haven’t yet.
-Tuscaloosa Amphitheater: What a great place to see a concert and talk about a healthy and growing list of artists who have performed there. We’re thankful for the concerts and looking forward to the 2014 series.
-Ratings: B101.7 continues to be one of the most popular radio stations in the Tuscaloosa area and we are so thankful (our jobs kinda depend on you listening, no pressure). Thanks!
-Loyal Listeners and Fans: The base foundation of the station’s existence. It’s the very people who are there to compliment and sometimes critique what we do. We’re in it together and we love that. Thanks!
-Southern Hospitality: We’re lucky to be surrounded by such kind and caring people. This spirit was the backbone to the reaction, support and recovery from the April 27th tornado. We’re friendly to our neighbors and visitors.
-Alabama Football: The very fabric of Tuscaloosa can be traced to one thing, Alabama football! We live, eat, sleep and breathe football! There is not another college town in the country that has what we have on Saturday’s during the fall and for that we are thankful! Roll Tide!
