Judges Name Winners of Tuscaloosa’s Kentuck Festival of the Arts
Two judges have wrapped up the unenviable task of naming the best creators who took part in this weekend's Kentuck Festival of the Arts, which is still ongoing all day Sunday.
The event has drawn about 270 artists manipulating all manner of media to create art for display and sale at Snow Hinton Park near University Mall on McFarland Boulevard.
“Each year, the Kentuck Festival of the Arts reaffirms its place as one of the premier art festivals in the nation,” said Exa Skinner, executive director of the Kentuck Art Center and Festival. “We’re honored to continue a tradition that brings people together from across the country to experience the transformative power of the arts.”

This year, the 54th Festival was adjudicated by Alison Amick and Kellee Reinhart, and they awarded a total of $12,200 to exhibiting artists after scoring them based on quality, originality, design, composition, technique, and overall presentation.
