VIDEO: Northport Hits A Home Run For All Of West Alabama
Northport has undoubtedly been at the forefront of lots of online discussions, particularly when politics is the topic.

However, let’s put all of that to the side and rest it on University Beach for a few moments.
Saturday at the grand opening for River Run Park. The only thing that can be said is Northport hit a home run, or maybe a grand slam.
Our partnership with Buffalo Rock was the perfect choice to bring this event to the next level. Buffalo Rock provided their premium beverages for hundreds and hundreds of thirsty folks on Saturday, as well as providing great prizes and activities for families at the event. BUFFALO ROCK, we thank you for your first-class performance in Northport!
The community turned out in a big way. After speaking with many residents about their new athletic facilities, they all agreed that they were proud that it’s in their hometown.
The fields are amazing, and as Major League star and Tuscaloosa native Tim Anderson said, “This place is sick”!
I’m sure he meant that as a compliment.
Again, the team at Buffalo Rock deserves a lot of credit for that grand slam performance on Saturday, and as Northport officials told us, Buffalo Rock could not have been better as a partner for this project.
We also spoke with one of the key developers, who informed us that they are still working on more additions to the complex, starting with a major league new hotel in the coming months.
Everyone in West Alabama was talking about how impressive the fireworks and drone show were for the community.
