A crash in Tuscaloosa County is causing traffic issues along one of West Alabama’s busiest highways.

According to a press release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency, a single vehicle crash occurred around 11:26 a.m. Saturday, March 14 on the southbound side of Interstate 59 near the 67 mile marker in Tuscaloosa County.

The crash has forced a lane closure, with southbound lanes currently blocked while troopers investigate the scene.

Officials say troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division responded to the crash and are actively investigating what led up to the incident. The agency says the roadway will remain partially blocked for an undetermined amount of time.

Drivers traveling through the area should expect delays and use caution while crews continue to monitor the situation and clear the roadway.
