“At NuBeginnings Church, we believe that real change starts with showing up for our community—especially for our children,” said Pastor Derrick Johnson. “We are honored to partner with University Place Elementary School as their Adopt-A-School partner.

NBC and UPES are committed to enhancing student leadership with exciting incentives, boosting parental involvement to support attendance and academic achievement, and honoring educators through thoughtful appreciation initiatives.

Mullins said that their “collaboration with NuBeginnings Church represents more than community service—it’s a shared mission to nurture, empower, and inspire every child to reach their fullest potential. Together, we are growing tomorrow’s leaders through compassion, commitment, and collective purpose.”

By combining NBC’s mission to “Go, Make, and Serve” and UPES’s commitment to “Growing Tomorrow’s Leaders Today,” this partnership seeks to foster a culture of growth, connection, and lasting impact within the UPES community.

Johnson said, “This is more than a partnership; it’s a commitment to support, uplift, and invest in the next generation. We look forward to walking alongside the incredible educators, students, and families of University Place as we work together to build a brighter future.”
