According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Association, they are asking for the public's help to solve a murder investigation.

The investigation is being handled in cooperation with Perry County authorities.

According to ALEA, the facts of the case at this point are as follows:

Jeffery Holifield, 68, of Marion, was found deceased in the 2000 Block of Onrow Tubbs Road in

Marion is located in Perry County, Alabama.

After further investigation, Anastassja “Anya” or "Tess" Cooper, 32, of Marion, was identified as a person of interest in the case.

Authorities are asking for help from folks from Alabama to the West Coast and even in Pennsylvania, as the person they are looking for apparently has connections in multiple areas of the country.

Officials say reports claim Cooper was spotted in a California town, but that could’ve been temporary and related to the holidays.

Cooper is described as a white female with brown hair, brown eyes, standing at 5’9” and weighing 216 pounds. She may also be in possession of or traveling with a mixed-breed dog named “Banana.”
