Mayor Maddox Says Tuscaloosa Is Prepared For The Unthinkable

Tuscaloosa Mayor Walt Maddox told Steve & DC on 95.3 The Bear that Tuscaloosa is prepared for a mass casualty event. The mayor was responding to questions about his proposed city budget with regard to public safety. Maddox also addressed the city’s recent falling crime rate stats.
Mayor Maddox joined the morning show to promote the Tuscaloosa Mercedes-Benz Amp. “There is not a bad seat in the house,” according to the mayor.

Maddox talked about the impact of the new Coca-Cola Amp in Birmingham. Despite the new Birmingham amp, there have been strong shows booked in Tuscaloosa, including an upcoming Blake Shelton concert. The next season of concerts for Tuscaloosa will be even stronger.
