What Are the Odds Both Aiden Sherrell and Labaron Philon Play Against Texas on Saturday?
TUSCALOOSA, Ala. - During Alabama's loss to the Vanderbilt Commodores on Wednesday, the Crimson Tide were without big man Aiden Sherrell, who suffered a knee injury a week ago during Alabama's victory over the Kentucky Wildcats. Sherrell warmed up in uniform and was listed as a game-time decision, but Oats and the Tide elected not to play the 6-foot-10 sophomore. During the loss, Alabama star guard Labaron Philon missed most of the second half due to "full-body cramps," according to Alabama head coach Nate Oats.

The status of both of the Tide's sophomores is in question for No. 13 Alabama's matchup with the Texas Longhorns in Coleman Coliseum on Saturday. What did the Crimson Tide's head coach have to say about both players on Friday afternoon?
"Aiden Sherrell practiced some today," Oats said. "We'll see how he responds tomorrow. He'll be a game-time decision. Hopefully, he feels better than he did Wednesday before the [Vanderbilt] game."
Sherrell, a sophomore from Detroit, Michigan, averages 8.7 points, six rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game for Alabama while shooting 52.8% from the field.
"Labaron practiced. He's not quite 100 percent, but he's not a guy that wants to sit out games. I anticipate him playing, and hopefully, we've got the cramping issue under control. That's that. We've just got to continue to get healthy."
Philon, a sophomore from Mobile, Alabama, is the Tide's premier player during his second season with the program. He averages 21.3 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 5.1 assists per game while shooting 53.7% from the floor and 38.7% from three-point range.
Alabama will face Texas Saturday night in Coleman Coliseum at 7:00 p.m. CT.
