TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Alabama baseball (12-0) defeated North Dakota State (1-9) 11-3 to sweep the series and remain as one of seven D1 baseball teams undefeated in the 2025 campaign at the time of publication.

Alabama starter Bobby Alcock earned the win. The right-hander tossed four innings, allowing two runs and two hits while striking out seven batters.

Alabama head coach Rob Vaughn following the 11-3 win over NDSU:

"Much better day today. I really challenged the guys yesterday after the game. I thought they responded. We had a lot more urgency today, I thought our focus was really good. Obviously big 2nd inning there... Now we got a tough week on the road, man. We go to Jacksonville State on Tuesday, Troy coming in on Wednesday, and Presbyterian here this weekend. Enjoy it here for an hour or two this afternoon, then turn your attention to getting better."

The Bison drew first blood Sunday afternoon off a one-out double from designated hitter Noah Gordon to push NDSU ahead 1-0 early.

The Crimson Tide were unable to answer in the bottom of the first, going down in order.

Alabama starter Bobby Alcock settled into a groove in the top of the second, allowing a lone hit while striking out the other three batters he faced.

The Tide lineup exploded in the second once again. Third baseman Jason Torres knocked a leadoff jack on the second pitch of the inning to tie up the ballgame at one apiece.

The following at-bats, Will Hodo singled and Brennen Norton walked to set up a double steal opportunity with Kade Snell digging in. On the double steal attempt, NDSU catcher Bennett Freiter attempted to catch Hodo stealing third but threw the ball behind the third baseman, allowing Hodo to score. A fielding error on NDSU left fielder Will Mann gave Norton time to cross the plate and tack on an extra run, making the Alabama lead 3-1.

A pair of walks and a Richie Bonomolo Jr. double set up a bases loaded chance for Justin Lebron. Lebron capitalized on the opportunity, launching a 3-1 fastball to the home bullpen, breaking the game wide open as Alabama took a 7-1 lead.

Both starters hung zeros in the third to hold the scoreboard at 7-1.

The Bison pulled slightly closer in the fourth via a leadoff homerun down the right field line from Mann, cutting the Tide lead to 7-2.

Another scoreless frame for both teams in the fifth kept the Alabama lead at 7-2.

NDSU added a run in the top of the seventh. A dropped swinging strikeout allowed Gordon to score from third to cut the lead to 7-3.

Alabama responded in the bottom half of the sixth via a Bonomolo Jr. single down the left field line, scoring Snell. Alabama advantage, 8-3.

The Crimson Tide pulled away for good courtesy of a three spot in the eighth. A Fowler FC scored Snell and a Lebron sac fly sent Bonomolo Jr home to extend the Alabama lead to 10-3. Colman Mizell ripped a single through the right side to score Fowler, putting the Crimson Tide lead at 11-3

Alabama returns to action Tuesday at Jacksonville State for their first true road matchup of the season.
