Horton began the press conference by discussing Auburn's atmosphere at Jordan-Hare Stadium, where a sellout crowd attended Saturday's Iron Bowl matchup. He emphasized that his sole focus was on executing the game plan. This focus paid off, as the transfer receiver from Miami, who joined the Crimson Tide this past offseason, recorded five catches for 35 yards and three touchdowns in Alabama's 27-20 victory.

“This is a crazy environment to come in and play in, that's a great defense, you know my mindset was just execute, execute, execute, that's it.”

When asked about his last touchdown reception, Horton reflected on a bold fourth-down-and-two call by offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. Quarterback Ty Simpson connected with Horton in the end zone from six yards out, putting the Tide ahead by seven points with just under four minutes remaining in the game. Horton stated, “Big-time players make big-time plays.” He also mentioned that he recognized man coverage and felt confident that he wouldn't be stopped.

Much like Lawson, Horton was also asked if this team thinks they are a playoff team and why, in which Horton responded, giving a perfect case to why the Tide should be in the College Football playoffs, with one significant factor Horton stated being Alabama’s difficult schedule, which is No.10 ranked in the nation in toughness according to ESPN.

“The Schedule we’ve had already and the resilience we have, you know, I love my teammates and my teammates love me, and we're just locked in, and we're ready.”

When asked whether any team members felt pressure to win this game to secure a spot in the SEC Championship, Horton explained that the team adopts a 1-0 mindset in every game. This approach prevents them from underestimating opponents and creates a sense of playoff intensity in each contest.

Horton closed out his presser by answering a question on what statement the wide receiver sent with his three touchdown performance against Auburn in his first Iron Bowl, in which Horton responded, “You know I let the world know that my team is here and we’re not going anywhere and we’re coming for what we want.”

The transfer wide receiver now has 418 receiving yards after his 35-yard performance, and eight touchdowns, with three of those coming in Saturday's win.

Alabama has the opportunity to secure its 31st SEC championship next Saturday in a rematch against Georgia, on Saturday, December 6th, at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.
