According to ESPN's All-Conference Player Defense Stats, Hubbard's four interceptions lead the Crimson Tide and tie him for the 16th place among defensive backs in college football. The importance, however, lies not just in the number, but in the timing of these interceptions and their impact on Alabama's momentum.

On Saturday, Alabama headed to Jordan-Hare Stadium with one goal: to win and clinch their spot in the Southeastern Conference championship game. They did just that after defeating Auburn 27-20.

The defense played a crucial role in the victory; by halftime, they held the Tigers to two field goals, entering the break with a 17-6 lead. The second half saw the defense turn it up a notch. With under a minute remaining in the third, the Tigers aimed to cut the score to 20-19 with a touchdown pass. However, quarterback Ashton Daniels's pass was intercepted by Hubbard.

Alabama entered the fourth quarter maintaining their lead, but the Tigers continued to threaten, seeking to tie the game. As in the third quarter, Hubbard made another crucial play.

With 40 seconds on the clock, Cam Coleman caught a pass from Daniels, but Hubbard forced a fumble, and linebacker Deontae Lawson recovered it.

Hubbard's performance in the 27-20 victory earned him his second SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week award this season.
