The Crimson Tide saw a return to the three-point shooting that Alabama is used to, hitting 42% of its three-point shots on the night, led by who else but Mark Sears, who was four-for-four in threes in the first half and finished the game 4-6 from beyond the arc.

South Carolina saw a good start in the game, with a quick 5-0 lead. The lead did not last long, with Alabama soaring to a lead as big as 20 in the first half against a South Carolina team that saw a big performance from Alabama transfer Nick Pringle, who had 13 points and six rebounds against his former team.

While the three-point shooting was up to the Crimson Tide's standard, the free-throw shooting was not, with Alabama shooting just 50% from the charity stripe tonight.

Alabama outperformed South Carolina in multiple game-changing formats tonight, defeating South Carolina in rebounds (36-33), bench points (39-4), assists (21-8), and steals (10-6).

Alabama did so without major minutes from some of its key players, with Oats pulling several starters, including Grant Nelson, for defensive effort in the second half.
