Nye becomes the second former Alabama player taken in this year's draft, joining teammate Sarah Ashlee Barker, who was selected No. 9 overall by the Los Angeles Sparks. With her selection, Nye also etches her name into Crimson Tide lore as the 14th Alabama player ever drafted into the WNBA.
"She gets downhill. She's very long, has a good size, and is an aggressive shot hunter and I think that's one of the things that stands out about her," said ESPN analyst Andraya Carter.
From timely hitting to lockdown pitching and flawless execution, the Crimson Tide left it all on the field for Game 2. Now, with the series even, all eyes turn to Game 3 on Monday.
